On 21 February, a warm musical reading evening took place in the Gilgenberg parish hall under the motto ‘About Innviertler and Innviertlerinnen as they once were and are today. Curiosities from Gilgenberg’ took place.
The parish hall was packed with many interested parishioners and other guests from the surrounding area. The programme, which was a special experience for all participants and guests, included a varied mixture of readings, singing and music. One highlight was the presentation of the two Topotheques Gilgenberg and Hochburg-Ach. The dedicated Topotheque manager Margit Staller gave a fascinating insight into the ‘function’ of the Hochburg-Ach Topotheque and encouraged all those present to get involved in the organisation of the Gilgenberg Topotheque.
Mayor Huber also supported and added his words to the local topotheque’s appeal for support in setting up the local topotheque, which currently contains almost four hundred items of data but is not yet online.
