A / NOE: Schallaburg: Topothequers` Meeting

More than 90 Topothequers came to the Renaissance Castle Schallaburg on the afternoon of October 11th for the annual exchange of experiences, to which the Melk Region Cultural Association and the BhW Schallaburg invited people. Before the Topotheque meeting, participants had the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Renaissance then, now & here” free of charge. In the castle‘s small ballroom, which was filled to the last seat, historian Gerhard Floßmann welcomed the guests and gave the floor to Alexander Schatek, who reported on the current state of development of the Topotheque in the first part of the meeting and answered many FAQs. Markus Fürst presented a new format for public relations in social media. After the break, some Topothequers presented their virtual archives, their personal working methods and their experiences with anchoring the Topotheques in the communities in order to give the others orientation for their work. At the end, some people met at the local inn to end the stimulating afternoon.
