For the second time, the Topothequers of Lambach invited to the Topotheque Café in the Rossstall, the architekturally intersting event hall in the old horse stable. Vzbgm. Renate Fuchs opened the afternoon with a short introduction to the Topotheque and emphasized the importance of this digital collection for the community. She explained that the Topotheque serves to preserve Lambach‘s history and make it accessible to everyone. In his greetings, Mayor Johannes Moser warmly thanked the Topothequers for their valuable work in preserving local history. He emphasized that the community also actively supports the work of the Topotheque. For example, photos can be handed in to the citizen service, which will be scanned by the Topothequers and then made available for collection.
Szilard Zimanyi then took the visitors through the history of Lambach‘s inns and breweries in an entertaining way. With the help of old photos and a guessing game, guests were able to immerse themselves in the community‘s past. What was particularly pleasing was the active participation of the audience, who eagerly puzzled along and shared their own anecdotes from earlier times.
Among the participants, Mr. Josef Lang was particularly impressive with his extensive historical knowledge. He was able to contribute photos and stories and made a significant contribution to livening up the afternoon.
A big thank you goes to all visitors who made the afternoon a special experience with their stories and short stories. The Topothequers take the lively interest this afternoon as great praise for their voluntary work. It impressively showed how lively and valuable a person‘s historical memory is
community can be. © Renate Fuchs
