FI | 17th Topotheque in Finland Opens in Tyrnävä

The 17th Topotheque in Finland was opened yesterday in Tyrnävä, which is a vivid rural municipality famous for its potato production and vast open landscape typical for Ostrobothnian region. Tyrnävä is located in the province of North Ostrobothnia just outside Oulu, the largest city in the area. The Topotheque is the third in the region as there are already existing Topotheques in the municipalities of Hailuoto and Sievi.

Welcome aboard, Tyrnävä!

Currently there are over 26 000 local cultural heritage objects in Finnish Topotheques. The number is constantly rising as more content is acquired and more people and municipalities become aware of Topotheque and its benefits for making the past and the roots of the community visible.
