We can join in! The Topotheque was selected from more than 120 submitted projects in order to appear in a catalog with the 30 best practice projects as part of this EU program. An essential part of “Cultural Heritage in Action” is a peer learning program for local and regional decision-makers, which serves to exchange knowledge about cultural heritage. The focus of this program is on participatory governance and the reuse of structures that have already been developed. How far the 12 stations can really be traveled from autumn or held via video conferencing is still open.
As a participating region, it is the LEADER region WeinviertelOst in Lower Austria, in which 50,000 memorabilia have become visible within a year thanks to a dense topotheque structure, very commited Topothequres and a very positive reception by the residents. We look forward to sharing our experiences with other European regions.
