A | LEADER WeinviertelOst: Auersthal online

As part of the LEADER project „Our communities in the past“, the Topotheque of the village of Auersthal in Weinviertel (Lower Austria) went online. Not as planned this way, but that can still be done in autumn. Two pieces should be mentioned here in particular: The insight into the old freezer system of the warehouse as an example for the documentation of agricultural history. Ring-shaped fluorescent tubes and terrazzo floors, who still knows them? And the slide from the winter of 1969: an example that it is high time to digitize slides, because the film material already shows considerable signs of aging. In addition, the photo is one of the rare pictures where there is no special occasion or object to explain why it was made. This makes it a valuable piece for documenting everyday life at Auersthal.
