The five Topotheques of the municipality of Wolkersdorf in the Weinviertel region invited guests to celebrate their 10th anniversary with selected images. The newly opened „Quartier Wolkersdorf“ served as an event space, where Mayor Dominic Litzka welcomed the numerous guests. His first words of thanks went to former mayor Anna Steindl, who introduced the Topotheques for the municipality of Wolkersdorf in 2015 at the suggestion of Hermine Perschke. He also thanked the local Topotheques‘ staff: Helmut Reiskopf from Münichsthal; Leo Dietler, Herbert Kraus, and Franz Unger from Obersdorf; Hildegard Kien from Pfösing; Hermine Perschke from Riedenthal; Erich Dunkel from the town of Wolkersdorf for their dedicated Topotheque work. After introductory remarks by Alexander Schatek, who has been involved in the establishment of the five Topotheques from the very beginning, the visual and audio highlights were presented. Of course, all of the Topotheques are available at any time, but the special selection and explanations provided by local history specialists provide even more insight into the background of the documents.
