A / NOE: Viehdorf: Topothek online

The liveable municipality of Viehdorf lies in the heart of the Mostviertel region, bordering the district town of Amstetten to the south. Viehdorf was already an important transport hub in Roman times and certainly in the early Middle Ages. The name comes from a cattle farm. Seisenegg Castle was owned by the Lords of Walsee from 1303 to 1483. Thanks to its favourable location in terms of transport links and the importance of its owners, it became a local institution. It was even the seat of a district court until 1848. Today it houses a cultural centre and a registry office.

The municipality can also be proud of its many active clubs and societies, which will certainly contribute a great deal to the growth of the Topotheque. And if you want to know who the boys from the 1978 football team are, then have a look in the Topotheque. Maybe their fathers or grandfathers can be found sitting on a roof truss, who knows …?
