In the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein lies the municipality of Vachendorf, whose Topotheque was presented at the citizens‘ meeting by Topothequer Jochen Nistler. This new Topotheque spans a wide range of time, starting with the archaeological finds and thus anchoring the sense of place deeply in the past. The images of a number of people from the early 19th century are remarkable, of course not as photographs, but in the form of paintings, which clearly show the colors of the clothes of the time. Equally valuable for the history of clothing are early color photos of local costumes, such as those preserved in an early color image from 1962. Clearly structured topic lists make the contents of this new Topotheque easy to find.
