A/OOE: Dietach: Topotheque launched

The municipality of Dietach in Upper Austria, first mentioned in 777, was ceremoniously opened as part of the mayor’s reception. This means that another Topotheque in the LEADER region of the Traunviertler Alpenvorland is visible to the public. The community with its cadastrals Mitterdietach, Oberdietach and Unterdietach is located just a few kilometers north of the city of Steyr and can look back on an eventful historical past. Discover faces, stories and facts from far back. A few examples? A well-preserved tradition is the visit of the star singers to Dietach in the winter of 1962. The old parish church with the rectory can be seen in the background. The mood of the costumed and singing guests at the parish carnival in 1975 was also exuberant. Note the expansive hair bows and carnival hats. For the consecration of the bells in 1951, emphasis was not only placed on neat clothing and floral decorations, the horses and carriage were also festively decorated to reflect the occasion. The Topotheque of Dietach is proud of its project and invites you to take an exciting journey through time through its online archive.
