June 26., 2025, 2:00 pm A/K: Klagenfurt: Workshop: Topotheque and 3rd Reich

The Kärntner Bildungswerk (Carinthian Education Center) invites you to the event „Topotheques and the Presentation of National Socialism, War, and Dictatorship“ on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the event hall of the Carinthian State Archives in Klagenfurt.

Three speakers, recruited by the Kärntner Bildungswerk, will provide information on the legal framework („NS Prohibition Act,“ „Badge Act“), raise awareness of the ideological content of photos, and present examples of factual and correct labeling of photos and documents. During this event, you will of course have the opportunity to ask our speakers any questions you may have about your Topotheque work.

Participation is free. The event is organized by the Kärntner Bildungswerk with the support of the Austrian Society for Political Education and the Carinthian State Archives.

The Carinthian Education Center, the Carinthian State Archives, and the Austrian Society for Political Education look forward to your participation and request that you register with the Carinthian Education Center: +49 463 536 57 622 or michael.aichholzer@bildungswerk-ktn.at.

Attending the event also offers an ideal opportunity to visit the new exhibition „Violence and Remembrance“ about the victim groups of National Socialism in Carinthia and to network with other cultural heritage experts in Carinthia.
