Čazma is located on the rolling hills of Moslavačka gora, a town in Croatia that was first mentioned in 1226 when the parish of Čazma was founded by Bishop Stjepan II. Babonić was founded. Some records show that there was already a settlement here in 1094.
The theme of the Topotheque is ‘Everyday life in the Čazma region’. This theme was chosen in order to involve as many people as possible and to collect as many photos, objects and documents as possible on various topics – from everyday activities, travelling to work, leisure activities, clothing, everyday objects, folk customs, changes in the appearance of the place, but also state regimes over time. The collection comprises over three hundred digital copies and is now being continuously expanded. We are delighted that we can already count 26 Topotheques in Croatia!
