The Croatian town of Ivanić-Grad is located on the River Lonja, on the border between Posavina and Moslavina, and the area around the municipality consists of 22 villages. It was first mentioned in a document in 1246. However, some more or less accidental finds point to the existence of a Roman civilisation in this area. After all, during the period of Roman rule in Pannonia, the most important Roman Pannonian roads ran from Andautonia to Mursa and beyond in the vicinity of Ivanić. It is the mixture of history and culture that makes this area so special.
For starters, the Topotheque contains many group pictures from the areas of sport, carnival parades and children’s theatre performances. Many people will recognise themselves in the pictures and recognise the purpose of the collection. Ivanić-Grad would like to expand the collection in this way and enrich it with many photos.
