A / OOE: Gramastetten: Topotheque Café

On Wednesday, 26 March 2025, the network of topothecaries from the Urfahr-Umgebung district hosted the ‘Café Seinerzeit’ at the Gramaphon in Gramastetten.

34 interested people accepted the invitation. After a guided tour of Lichtenhaag Castle by Castellan Herbert Ginterseder, Dr Gerhard Schwendtner gave an exciting talk on the history of farms – from the first settlements in Roman times to the Middle Ages and the great upheaval of 1850. The event (which has been taking place since 2018) also provided an opportunity for participants to share their knowledge.

The exchange of experiences showed once again how important and valuable the work on the digital documentation of local history is. More than 28,000 historical objects (photos, documents, videos, etc.) have already been collected in the district’s 16 Topotheques and made accessible to everyone online.
