Under the title ‘Museum redefined – in dialogue with cultural heritage’, the Lower Austrian Museum Management invited guests to the Althof Retz on 16 March and around 150 people accepted the invitation to the Weinviertel!
Entertaining opening speeches by Martin Lammerhuber, Managing Director of Kultur.Region.Niederösterreich GmbH, Stefan Lang – Mayor of Retz and Ulrike Vitovec, Managing Director of Museumsmanagement NÖ GmbH, were followed by interesting keynotes on topics ranging from intangible cultural heritage as defined by UNESCO, diversity and accessibility to sustainability in museum operations. The breaks were used for a lively exchange of knowledge and the Topotheque was highly visible and well represented by Alexander Schatek and Markus Fürst. Many people were already familiar with the Topotheque and those who did not yet know it were informed in detail on site about the nature and purpose of a Topotheque.
At 09:00 the event started with the topic ‘Museum redefined – in dialogue with cultural heritage’
