DE / Rheineland-Palatinate: Maximiliansau online

In the south-east of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the home associations of Schaidt, Büchelberg, Wörth and Maximiliansau have launched the “Wörth Digital Museums” as part of the initiative “I‘m there – The Promoters of Engagement”. Its aim is to preserve information, stories and experiences in local Topotheques for future generations. After the Topotheque in Wörth also the Topotheque in Maximiliansau has recently gone online.
For the coming spring, when you can stroll through the old streets again in pleasant temperatures, small plaques with a QR code to the topotheque hits will be attached on selected houses. In this way, reality is linked to the digital past. The coordinator of the project, Thomas Kirschenmann, also organizes lively communication in the local media to draw attention to the historical project. The activation of the Büchelberg and Schaidt Topotheques is planned for the coming year.
